I would like to say a big thank you to the wonderful illustrators who were apart of this wonderful event... it was a pleasure to work and exhibit with you. Also, a big thank you to North Edinburgh Arts for the wonderful exhibition space.

If you haven't yet had the opportunity to pop down to the exhibition, you still have time. It is open until the 2nd February. Hope you enjoy it!

Surrounded by Stories Exhibition

I'm very excited to announce that I am having an exhibition with four other wonderful children's illustrators at the North Edinburgh Arts.

The 'Surrounded by Stories' exhibition brings together the work of five children's illustrators into an exciting group show. The wonderful lineup includes Helen Coburn, Cate James, Kasia Matyjaszek, Eilidh Muldoon and of course me!

The exhibition start on Tuesday 15th January and ends on Saturday 2nd February 2013. We will be having an official opening on Tuesday 15th from 6-7.30pm, where we will be having a few little drinks and nibbles to celebrate!

Eilidh's Home Made Evening!

For our context this semester we have to arrange an event that is going to help to inform our practical work.

My very lovely pal Eilidh hosted an evening of tea, cake, chatting and mug painting at 'Fingers and Thumbs' in North Berwick. This research event is going to help her to create a series of illustrations inspired by the word 'home'. She is planning to include illustrated recipes, patterns, drawings of objects that are special in our homes and images from stories we love to read.

It was a great evening of drawing and eating... two of my very favourite hobbies.

I'll be posting about my own event soon, so watch this space.
