Christmas Flash Games

Santa's Present Panic
Penguin Dive

Frosty's Boogie Box

In my day job I worked on some cute characters for Christmas Flash Games. One of the games was based on a loved favourite, Pac-man. This was right up my street creating naughty little elves to chase Santa around cute Christmas scenes.

I also created a diving penguins and walruses game, the theme inspired by two of my favourite illustrators/children's books: Polly Dunbar's Penguin and Oliver Jeffers Lost and Found.

Frosty's Boogie Box' was created from stills of one of my colleagues dressed in a Santa's costume. As you could probably imagine - he loved doing this!?

The games are still live here: bigbangcreative.co.uk/christmas

Town Scene

This watercolour sketch of a town scene was influenced by the fantastically talented John Piper. I was introduced to his sketches and paintings of Romney Marsh by my Grandad. When he passed away, I inherited his very old book filled with John Piper's work! How lucky am I?!

This piece of development work went on to help create my final major project at uni. Watch this space... :)

Fatima

As this is my FIRST EVER blog post I thought I'd start with putting up some work that I did at university (Sunderland). This illustration WON first place in the Seven Stories 'Illustration for Poetry Competition' in 2009. It illustrates the poem 'Fatima' by Carole Satyamurti. Meeting Carole in person was great! She was a lovely and extremely intelligent lady!!! I really enjoyed this project!!!
